Ladies and Gentlemen,
Many of you started your own blog. It seems like you are having trouble getting people to read your posts and comment. It was a bit easier for us, since we had an entire 5th grade full of kids, and we gave assignments on the blog that students had to complete. So, how can you all get readers on your blogs? And how do you get people to comment?
Here are some ideas:
1. Help each other out! Read and comment on each others blogs.
2. Talk to kids at school! You could even hand out little cards with your blog address.
3. Search for other blogs! If you go read other people's blogs and comment, do not mark yourself as anonymous. Use your accout when you comment. Or select the option that allows you to use your first name and url. The url is the address of your blog. Then, when people read your comments, they can click your name and it will be a link to your blog.
4. Make sure to keep posting. Nobody wants to follow a blog that never gets new posts.
5. Make it easy to comment! Give directions, and let folks know that you are interested in comments!
6. Make sure that what you write is always appropriate.
7. Add cool stuff like slideshows and other gadgets to your blog! (Great job on this Richard!)
Here are some blogs I have found from students. If you start one, or if you know about one that I do not have listed, please let me know!

http://joineastdragons2009.blogspot.com/
http://sportbros.blogspot.com/

If you all choose to follow each blog (at the top of your blogger window, you can choose to follow blogs) then you can always see in your dashboard when your friends add new posts. Then you can comment right away!
Thanks,
Mr. Moore

These are excellent suggestions that I give students too. I think you hit the nail on the head with two pieces of advice. The first is to continually create content. Nobody wants to visit a stagnant blog. The second is to visit other blogs and leave comments. Make sure the comments are relevant to the post. Don't expect them to leave a comment on your blog if you just use theirs for a place to leave a link.
Mr. C
That is really good advice. My class is working on a blog and each student has assigned dates to post a blog. Our blog is about helping the environment. Pretty soon I'm going to post a tip on how to save energy. Please visit our blog http://ccassinelli.edublogs.org/
