Students have been asking me who I am voting for. I decided to let you vote here on the blog. Take a look at the poll on the right side of our blog. Did you know that adults can vote for people other than Barack Obama and John McCain? There are many other choices. I wonder if anyone you know has taken some time to find out about candidates from other political parties... If you choose to comment, let us know more about your opinion on who should be the next president! I will only publish comments that show actual thought... Please make sure that you write at least a few sentences if you want to see your comment published!

Please make sure you give some thought to your comment before you post. I will not publish your comment unless it has a few sentences. 1 Sentence does not show enough thought!

Dear Mr. Moore,
I think that it is so cool that you are giving us a chance to vote for a president, because we are just kids, and some of us like Dzenad and I aren't citcezens here, and we couldn't vote, even if we were 18. That's why I think letting kids vote is very meaningful to kids.

Dear Mr.Moore,
I am voting for Obama because
I think he has a strong positive attitude and I have watched some of his speeches and he looks like he is very confident.

I teach science at Sandburg Elementary, just a few blocks from East, and I'm a friend of Mr. Moore. Many students ask me who I voted for, and I answer by asking them who they think I voted for. I give them this hint: when I was in 5th grade, like you, I "voted" for Jimmy Carter... and he won. Do you think Mr. Moore voted for Jimmy Carter?
Mr. Moore,
This was a very meaningful thing for me. I've always wanted to vote. I knew that most of the kids would vote for Obama. I wasn't sure which president to vote for. It was a very interesting idea to let us vote. Also, did you know that Obama is going to be the next president?
Sincerely,
Narah
Dear Mr. Moore,
I'm so glad that Barack Obama is our new president because if he wasn't I think John McCain would bring the wars here.
