Dear,future fifth graders
Me one of the fifth graders now I'm telling you that you need to be in shape for the year that is coming cause you will have to take are legacy!plus that is not all of fifth you wiil have to get in the habit of turning in your homework I telling you a little bit that I know of fith grade since the time I got hear but it was still enuf to know how fifth grade is some edvice is that stay out of troble when you are hear because that would be a bad example that we the fith graders left you some thing more is that when you write is that you push your thinking and that way you get good at writing and get good at it and becareful with Mr.Moore some times he can be funny but when you don't trun in your homwork he can be seruse with you it is not that I want you to be scard but it is the truth that he is funny and seruse some fun stuff is that you get on the blog and more stuff but you will have to write alot on the work space,and you will get a story and write about it and rthat is when you need to push your thinking, but you will have some posters to know about that.

Dear Fifth Grade Teacher,
My name is Anjelica and I am 9 years old. My birthday
is on May 29, 1999, and I always get $10.00. I live with my mom, dad, two sisters and I have a brother that I have never met before. He is 10 years old and his birthday is on December 31st 1998.
I have to do chores at home and those chores are laundry, dogs food and water and their due due, dishes, clean the computer room, and my dirty room. I have a lot of chores to do at home. After chores I do homework and then I get to go to my friends house and play kickball with her, her dad, her mom, my sister and my sisters friend. I like sports, not too much homework and scary stuff.
My strengths in fourth grade are spelling, science, sometimes in social studies, math,and writers workshop. My weaknesses are one thing in math and I don't understand volume,and I have trouble with remembering what I am reading if its a book that I am not interested in then its hard for me to remember. I like homework just not a lot of homework.
Next year, I am so excited for Cal Wood and I hope that we do a lot of projects in fifth grade and lots of fun activities. I hope that GuoXin, Vlad, Ashley, and Miguel are in my class and they sit close to me because even though they are my friends I can still sit next to them. I hope that we do work together on the smart board a lot. I hope that fifth grade is a blast!

Dear Fifth Grade Teacher,
My name is Vlad and I am 10 years old. My birthday is on December 4. I have a brother and two sisters. Sometimes my parents tell me to make my bed, take out the trash, and do other chores. Sometimes I get grounded from the computer.
4th Grade was great for me. I never forgot my homework. I'm good at math. I know most of multiplication facts. Sometimes didn't get good grades at spelling. I enjoyed learning about volcanoes. My friends Gou Xin, Anjelica, Ashley, and I hang around together this whole year.
I am so excited for 5th grade! I know that 5th grade will be awesome! The Cal-Wood will be a lot of fun I bet. I know that I am going to have a lot of fun in your class. Dear 5th grade teachers,
Hi my name is Joseph but you can call me Joe. I have one bigger half brother named Jordan and two sisters. I live with my mom, dad, and my sister Sara. My big sister Jenifer lives at her own house. I love to watch football and play flag football. I have two cats named Mickey and Jj.
One strength is I never give up when it gets hard. Another, is I'm good at Math, I can figure out math problems quikly. Another strength is IGR, I'm good at IGR because I can make a pictrue in my head. One weakness is Writer's Workshop because I have trouble thinking of something to write about. Secondly, I have trouble spelling because they don't always sound right when I them.

Dear Fifth Graders,
Fifth grade is hard but still you have to enjoy it because it will be your time that you have to become good since you will be the dominate people in the school so treat everyone right and behave good.
Some thing you should know about is something called Cal-wood. Cal-wood is something so great but you can get sent home if your bad so behave good. Cal-Wood coast a lot of money not just 20
$ but about 120$.
You have to be careful because the teachers can bee really mean like Mean V (witch only comes out when your bad)or Mr.Moore (when your bad in line). So don't think that your not going to be fine for the beginning of the year.
Don't forget you'll have the triple E's but not the same that you have but white and better black ones. Try not to play around with them because you'll loose them for like a week.
Beware of fifth grade and you'll be OK.

Dear Fifth Grade Teachers,
My name is Paola and this was my first year at East. I have one older sister and 3 older brothers. I went to Denver Public Schools before I moved here. I love Mrs. Crowley she really made my first year great and she made me feel comfotable here at East.I 'm really sad that I don't have that much time left with her. This year in fourth grade I 've become better at multiplication. Last year I wasn't doing so well in social studies and now I'm a lot better. In fifth grade I'm looking forward to using the EEE'S and going to Cal Wood. Cal Wood has been on my mind ever since I found out about it. I talk about it a lot at home and I hope I 'll be able to go. I'm really scared about multiplication next year because I can past 100 multiplication facts in four minutes but I don't think I can do them in two. I'm really looking forward for a great time next year.

Dear Fifth Grade Teachaers,
My name is Savannah. I am the only child in my household. I have one step sister named Jordan. She is 19 almost 20. It is quite lonely sometimes being the youngest and no one hang out with. This year in fourth grade I learned and understood quite well how to do lattice and long division. I also understood a little bit about how to place decimals in numbers. I need to work more on my multiplacation facts. In fifth grade I am looking forward to going to Cal-Wood and doing plenty on the Triple EEE's next year and I have so many more things I look forward to doing that I probability shouldn't go any further than this.

Dear 5th grade teachers,
Hi, my name is Juan. I love to play soccer and tennis. One of my favorite things to do is multiplication sheets. In fact I have passed 4 minutes of 100 multiplication problems.
I have some weaknesses and problems as a student. One is I need to learn more about literacy block one and two. Another weakness I have is I need to learn how to write more without asking the teacher what to do. I need to stop talking to my friends because I have flipped my card lots of times before the year is over. I have gone to the principal's office twice, one was for taking my friend in because he was hurt. I am really good at the other work and have turned in my homework every time, but not every time for IGR because I have struggled for the work the teacher gives me. I am really good at writing and spelling.
I am really looking forward to learning more about how to better my weaknesses and everything else and for the cool white computers. I would like to learn how to add and subtract negative numbers.

Dear 5th grade teachers,
Hello, I'm Triston. I live at home with my mom, sister, and baby cousin. They some times can be a big pain in the butt if you know what I mean. I'm interested in video games. I just turned 10! I can kind of get in trouble but besides that I am a good boy. I was fortunately in Mrs. Springston's 4th grade class. Man did she have higher expectaions for us. It was hard, but I know it's good.
I have many strengths and weaknesses. One of my strengths is writers workshop. I can almost think of a story just like that. I am also good at math. I know my multiplication facts in under 4 min but I'm just not that fast. Enough about strengths how about weaknesses. I get the s/s but I think it is a tiny bit hard. I mean how am I supposed to remember all about Colorado History if I can't get my reading log signed. Also, I am not that good at IGR, but I am a good reader. I can do the fun stuff but not the stuff that other kids think is easy. I honestly think it's too hard.
I'm looking for something I never expected before in 5th grade. I hope I will be a better than I was in 4th grade. I will walk out of that 4th grade door and be thinking “I am finshing my grades and becoming a 5th grader and moving on.” I hope I am better than I am now.

Hello! My name is Brenden and I am a student of Mrs.Springston's 4th grade class. I am 9 years old and I have three big brothers, and one big sister. I also live with my mom, dad,and my grandma. I have a pet named Lukas and he is a playful. I live in an apartment and we don't have that much room.
My best subject in school is GLAD because I like learning about Colorado history because I am a living in Colorado and I like learning what happen in the past in Colorado. My weakness is math and I am not so great at math but I know math well. I'm not so well at multiplying big numbers like 7X8.
I hope I learn even more about Colorado history than I do now because back then it was really interesting stuff . I looking forward to learning to even harder multiplication problems and memorizing hard problems.

My dad lives in Nebraska because he is working there because he could not find any work here in Littleton. I miss him and I don't get to see him very often. Hi! My name is Kathy. I am 10 years old right now. My birthday is on May 19. I live at home with my mom, dad, sister, and brother. I don't have any pets at my house. I really love to play with my best friend, Lizbeth, at recess. I also like to make crafts for people. I might even make a craft for you. I never go to the office like if I was in trouble.
I have some strengths and weaknesses as a student. First, I am great at writing. I am great at writing because my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Springston, sometimes uses my writing for examples. Next, I am not great at summarizing in IGR. But no worries I am going to read more slowly and stop at certain times and will summarize in my head so then I can tell my teacher the summary. Then, I am really also good in multiplication. I passed 5 and 4 minutes and I am up to the challenge to past 2 minutes. Now you know my strengths and weaknesses as a student.
I really hope that I will learn new things next year. I am looking forward to going to Cal-wood with you and I bet that it will be really fun. I am enjoying the Triple Es in fourth grade and I can't wait till next year to use them again. I know that fifth grade will be hard but I will do my very best. My name is Duc. I'm in Mrs. Springston's 4th grade class. I live with my mom, dad, brother Tri and sister Lisa. My favorite sport to play is darts.

My name is Jonathan. I’m interested in aircrafts and want to be in the air force. Also, I am interested in computer technology. I heard my big brother Abel said something on binary. I’m going to be 10 after July 7, 2009. I play with my friends Triston, Joseph (nick name is Joe Joe), Brenden, and Ana. My #1 favorite sports is Hockey.
Well I have various subjects that I do well on. One is science. Because I made my Volcano with a one liter bottle so I had to double the ingredients. But the lava fell on Joe Joe. Second, I am good at poetry . Poetry is my second best subject because you get to write about your feelings or something else. My weakness is I get carried away, because I know so much on a subject. Also, my handwriting is not great. I hope you can help me with my handwriting.

Hello, my name is Jaime and I am in Mrs. Springston's 4th grade class. I like to play soccer and watch cool car movies like 2Fast 2Fourious. I also live with my parent, my 2little brothers, little sister, and with my uncle also my ant .
My favorite subject in school is math because I already know all of my multiplication. What I need help on is writing. Sometimes I write run-on sentences. I like science because I get to learn more about the earth. I also flip my card sometimes because I sometimes talk to my friends a lot. And I sometimes forget one thing of homework, but I usually do most of it.
I am looking forward to go to cal-wood that is almost in the beginning of the year. I really want to know who will be my 5th grade teacher if its going to be Mrs. VanderVelde or Mr. Moore. Next year, I hope I will learn how to divide bigger numbers!

My name is Jefferson and this was my first year at East. I went to Field last year. I might be going back to Field butI do not know yet. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. I live with my mom and dad. My family is from Honduras and I was born there but I do not remember much about it.
This year in fourth grade I learned a lot. I got 100 % in four minutes. I hope that I can do that in 2 minutes next year. I do know that I really need to work on my spelling and make sure I study for tests. I am a nice kid and I really like school.

My name is Andy. I like to hang out with my friends. My friends and I like to play kickball.
Sometimes my #1 sport is football. I am going to be 11 over the summer.
I am not very good at spelling, but am better at math. It is my favorite subject and I like doing multiplication. Reading is in the middle for me. My writing is sometime sloppy, but I am trying to get better. I flip my card lots of times. But I don’t stay in for home work that much because I usually get it done.
