Here we are doing our first dissection! This is a video of both 5th grade classes working with Steven Newell, who works at Sandburg Elementary School here in Littleton. The video was cool and so was the heart dissection.When I saw the video I remembered when I put my finger through the tricuspid valve.It was awesome I had a fabulous time especially having Miss.V as your partner.

While dissecting the heart it was hard to find the pulmonary vein because I didn't know where to cut the heart.When I watched the video I saw that a lot of kids were having trouble cutting.I thought that cutting the heart was cool.The reason I thought it was cool was because when we were studying the heart I wondered how the heart really looks.Looking at a heart is interesting and gross.One reason I think it is gross is because it smells bad and it is interesting because you can see the heart parts such as the pulmonary vein.

I loved doing the pigs heart and I wanted my partner to be someone that doesn't like to cut gross things and I was lucky my partner was Viridiana. I didn't want to be snobby but I like to do those things. I like when I got the first cut and I liked when I saw the valves and we got to stick our fingers in it. When I got home and told my parents they were like cool but then at the same time they were like gross. I loved the dissection and I can't wait to do the eye dissection and I can't wait to do all the 6th grade dissections!

Well first of all that was some awesome music. I liked the video very much because it showed the first cut of the heart. This reminds me that it was hard for me and my partner to find the pulmonary artery. I thought it was very funny at the end when it said who the characters were because it said Mr.Newll was the mad scientist. When my partner and I got the first cut done we couldn't stop using the probe to poke it.

The first thing I thought when I remembered the heart dissection was eating pork chops for dinner that night! Talk about disgusting! The Pulmonary Artery was really hard for my partner (Jody) and I to find. Putting our fingers up through the Aorta was gross! Everything smelled bad and looked really gross! I loved the end of the video where the cast was like;

I really like when we made that one cut when we stuck our finger into a tube and came out another.I also liked when we found the tricuspid valve and all the parts of the aorta that lead to different parts of the body.

Dear Mr.Moore and Miss V,
What I really like about this dissection was that I got to share it with my two favorite fifth grade teacher you guys.Brayan was my partner we listen to all the directions first and then start our dissection.Brayan told me to cut first because he thought that it was nasty but then Brayan had to do the cutting.For Brayan and me it was easy to find the pulmonary artery but for others has hard.My partner and I had the best aorta because we had the three tubes.When we got father down inside the heart it became harder and harder because it was hard to cut the veins and muscles.Working with Steven Newell was very fun because we also did a cow's eye but that time Isabel was my partner.Brayan put his finger inside the pig's heart.After all I'm really going to miss fifth grade.I had a good time doing this two fun activities.

It was really fun cutting the heart. the hardest part for me to find was the pulmonary artery.My partner was Ben.When ever I couldn't find a part of the heart I would race my hand so they can help me. But other than by that it was pretty fun.

I think that the video was pretty interesting.When I saw the heart it remembered when we dissected the heart and Elsad was my partner.He told me to feel the pulmonary artery and I got my finger stuck.So he helped me get it out.I think dissecting the heart was pretty cool because all that Ms.V had thought me like the pulmonary artery,and the pulmonary vein,and all the ventricles and last the aorta were right there in front of me and the best part was that we could use some senses.I could look at fell it smell.So that is why this video was pretty interesting.

That video was awesome how it was put together! When we did the heart dissection it was fun because I almost got my finger stuck in the heart.My partner was Mirican we thought the heart was so gross but at the same time it was so cool. The only thing about the heart is that is was dripping out water or something yeah it was water. I liked doing the heart because it was a pigs heart and that is so cool I thought it was going to be a humans heart.The video shows what we did and everyone having a great time.But I still think the eye was better than the heart.The was so cool in the video you can see the heart getting cut opened.The first cut was so cool.Are you guys going to gross us out more with any dissections?

The eye dissection was so AWESOOOOOOOOOME
because the first cut on the heart was really weird.(:the fist cut on the bag really exciting:)It was disgusting when I had to stick my finger in a pot of heart guts which was so grossssssssse.I did not no wear I was sticking my finger hopefully not any were else but a heart.I had fun.

I had a lot of fun dissecting the heart.My favorite part of dissecting the heart was when we cut the heart open and stuck our fingers in the pulmonary artery and it came out of the other side which was cool and felt a little slimy.

I remember when we got to cut the pulmonary artery from a pig.I liked when me and my partner got to take turns doing stuff.The other thing that I enjoyed when the man who came to help us Said "1 2 3 DOCTORS!I enjoyed my time opening a pigs heart.

Dear Mr.Moore& Ms.V,
While dissecting the eye It was really hard to find the tricuspid valve because I didn't realize that there was so many other parts inside of the apex and just hearing the noise really distracted me from listening to where it was.This makes e realize that if something distracts you then don't listen to what it is that distracts you.Lastly the reason I liked the dissection is because it could help me if I ever become a doctor and if I an a surgeon.
